Sierra Neoné is what it sounds like when a spirit takes flight w/o ever looking down or looking back. Made after Jimetta drove an hour out to Upland, California to reconnect and eat some of Def's world famous vegan taco's the song was recorded in Def's living room.Both children of Leimert Park are channeling the data running through their bones into a song about spirituality, resilience, resistance and home internally.

There's so much power in naming, much like Outkast's Stankonia (where all the funky thangs are from) Sierra Neoné about where all the brightest ideas and feelings are from. We seldom see the process and sacrifices made in order for a diamond from Sierra Leone to exist. We just love the results. Sierra Neoné is the spiritual mindful mining needed to create hope. Sierra Neoné is about creating a safe space within yourself by being as brown as you wanna be, free as you wanna be.


Sierra Neone is a place we all go within ourselves to recharge, re self. It’s thee outternet you log into when tapping into yourself tapping out of this world. It’s those moment we tune into ourselves for a moment there is peace. There is a place we belong.
