‘GOOD GRIEF’ is a song about grieving friends while they are still living. Something I did a lot during the pandemic. There's all kinds of grief, some of it's good. I am an everchanging artist with a range of emotions and I need my art to reflect that full personage. I couldn't repress my grief any longer. The process of recording itself was cathartic - I wrote none of the words down just recorded as I felt them move through me. Lightfoot met me in that space and created a canvas with bass as heavy as my emotions. Grief can be loud and aggressive. There is no wrong way to feel your feelings.
